Delta Usability Heuristics (W3:INFM372)
Delta Airline
Task: Finding an airline ticket
Good:
#8: Aesthetic and minimalist design
The visual design of the website is simple and easy on the eyes. It emphasizes the important content of the page base on what is priority. For example, the booking area is easy to locate as it appears to be the biggest component on the home page and most noticeable. It makes booking a flight easier.
Bad:
#6: Recognition rather than recall
Rating: 1
When I try to filter my flight by price and connection time, it does not show me the exact numbers when I adjust the bar.

#10: Help and documentation
Rating: 1
I wanted to know if the first carry-on was free. I did not know that I had to click continue to review and pay in order to know that information. It was a bit misleading because I thought it was going to take me straight to the payment page.

I notice a lot of websites does not show the extra fees that's not the tax until after the user proceeds to the checkout. Maybe it is because the price varies between different flights, but it would be accommodating if there was a sections that talks about the extras fee without going through the whole booking process to find out.
Improvement:
The main issue I had with booking the flight was their filtering system, and it can be improved by making the adjustment during filtering more visible such as letting the user see how the number is being altered. I also think Delta could be more considerate with letting the user know where to find on board information by having a message somewhere that says the next page will contain your luggage information.
