User control and freedom

A video and audio from the homepage automatically plays when you first enter the website. Features like this can be alarming and unpleasant. Some sort of warning should at least be warranted.

Error prevention

Rating: 3

I would have rated the error prevention as a zero as it is clear the Twitch will notify the user about an error, but the issue with this error message is related to privacy. Although I like the fact that it tells exactly which part of the information is incorrect, above was a random username I have typed and if I was lucky enough I could have gotten the password right. Twitch login will also verify if a username exists which, again, is an issue.

 Flexibility and efficiency of use

For any streaming/video sites, having a miniplayer feature is desirable because it allows the user to navigate without having to close the video or open another tab. The only problem I have with Twitch's miniplayer is the inability to move it, so it blocks a section of the screen for me.

Aesthetic and minimalist design

Rating: 2

Personally, I think Twitch's visual layout gives me a slight headache at first glance. Understandably twitch has an abundant amount of content, so it will be a bit difficult to organize but if the content was organized in a better fashion it would be helpful and minimize stress to my eyes.

I like help centers that includes an efficient search bar with suggestions. It indicates that there is solutions to most problem.
